Yes Bank, Hero MotoCorp to react to Q4 results

Yes Bank reported net loss of Rs 1,506.64 crore in Q4 March 2019 as compared with net profit of Rs 1,179.44 crore in Q4 March 2018. Total income rose 17.09% to Rs 8,388.23 crore in Q4 March 2019 over Q4 March 2018. The result was announced after market hours on Friday, 26 April 2019. Domestic stock markets were closed on Monday, 29 April 2019, on account of General Elections (Lok Sabha).

Hero MotoCorps net profit fell 24.51% to Rs 730.32 crore on 7.8% fall in total income to Rs 8,049.18 crore in Q4 March 2019 over Q4 March 2018. The result was announced after market hours on Friday, 26 April 2019.

Ambuja Cements, Kotak Mahindra Bank and TVS Motor Company will announce January-March 2019 quarterly earnings today, 30 April 2019.

Cipla and its subsidiary Cipla USA, Inc., announced receipt of final approval for the Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for Ambrisentan Tablets 5mg & 10mg from the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA). The announcement was made before market hours today, 30 April 2019.

JSW Energy has secured a purchase order from Telangana State Discoms of 300 MW round the clock power to be supplied from the companys Vijayanagar Power Plant, Karnataka for the period from 1 July 2019 to 31 March 2020. The announcement was made on 27 April 2019.

Nifty stocks trade at a discount to respective 10-year average P/Es

Nifty50 rallied to a fresh record high of 11,856 in April but since then the momentum has fizzled out. The index is down about 3 percent from las month's high and it has also breached its crucial short-term moving averages at 5-days exponential moving average (EMA), 13, 20 and 50-days EMA in May. A large part of the fall can be attributed to selling seen in the largecap stocks and about 25 such companies, or 50 percent, of the Nifty50 constituents are trading below their respective 10-year PE averages. PE multiple, or price-to-earnings ratio, is a valuation metric which measures the current stock price relative to the company's earnings. It is also sometimes referred to as earnings multiple. As many as 25 companies in the Nifty50 basket are trading below their respective 10-year average earnings multiple.
